Position Description
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
- Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
- Supporting clients in the use of aids and personal equipment including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
- Supporting clients with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
- Overnight customer support and assistance 1-2 times a week.
What you will need:
- Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services (preferred)
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- To be able to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Current and satisfactory Federal Police Check
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
- Smartphone with internet access
- Proof of COVID vaccination

Position Description
Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Working with or under the guidance of medical practitioners and Allied Health professionals
- Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care e. palliative care, bowel care/suppositories, catheter care, stoma care, oxygen and more
- Monitoring and communicating on the customer’s wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
- Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Bright Hope Care’s policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines , including Restrictive Practises.
- Providing training, coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals, Enrolled Nurses and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
- Conducting skills assessments of Community Support Professionals performing complex care services as required
- Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
What you will need:
- Nursing Registration ( APHRA) Essential
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Current and satisfactory Federal Police
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is preferred)
- Smartphone with internet access

Desirable:
- Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector
- Previous community nursing experience
- Experience writing Care Plans

- Current Registered / Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- To be able to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence

- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Current police clearance

- Focus on customer service with tailored, customer-centric approaches
- Domestic assistance (light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation – no deep cleans!)
- Provide regular services to keep our customers home clean and fresh
- Must be comfortable cleaning bathrooms/toilets
